This blazer was the last item I bought at H&M and will be the last…at least for awhile. If you haven’t heard the scandal yet, read for yourself…HERE. in short, H&M stole a local artists work and mass produced it on their products. By law (via Berne Convention), before the paint even dried, the artist had full copyright seeing as she was the original “author”. we’re seeing this recent trend in corporate retail design, ripping off blogger’s art, and now artist as well. It’s quite shocking, you would think these multi-million dollar companies would just cough up a couple grand to the original artist instead of landing themselves in a lawsuit. so I’m boycotting shopping there. These pictures were taken before I heard about the scandal, otherwise I wouldn’t be advertising their product either. so here’s the last! we’ll make it count.
velvet purple blazer sounded appropriate to pair with my new nebula shirt from YourEyesLie(dot)com. the creepers seem to oddly balance my outfit (or should i say my hair) and the crystals added a whimsical touch too.
have a nice hump day,
