Afternoon guys! Hope you’ve all been enjoying this beautiful fall weather. NYC has been blessing us with sunny but breezy days which is my personal favorite. It’s days like these you can throw on a comfortable tee, lightweight jacket, maybe a beanie and be on your way. I would actually say there’s a variety of fall staples every man should have- let’s touch on that shall we?
lightweight scarves– Knits are one thing but for fall you’ll just need a lightweight neck-buddy. Something easily paired with a windbreaker, or cardigan that almost feels weightless. I mean look at the last picture above, I’m whippin mine around like it aint no thang. I love it.
Boots– Again, we’re not talking about heavy-duty snow boots or even Uggs, I’m speaking about fashionable leather or suede lace-ups. I would recommend darker colors such as black or brown because they go with just about anything. For fall in particular, you’ll see me sporting these bad boys with skinny denim or chinos. After all, boots keep your toes warm AND give you an inch in height= a win win in my book.
Beanies– This is equally just as much as a winter staple but I’m biased and love them too much to not include. I like any and all types of beanies, Serve em up knitted, plain, color-blocked, or falling apart…I’m game. The one pictured above is from Nautica!
Windbreaker– A windbreaker jacket isn’t a necessity but it’s definitely good to have for that in-between weather that Autumn offers so graciously. I’m modeling one above from Nautica that’s a fusion between a cargo jacket & windbreaker and I think that’s why I dig it so much. It has military-like detailing and pockets on the arms so it has my vote on uniqueness alone! on the website it’s called “The Flight Bomber Jacket”
There you have it. A couple Fall staples that I personally believe men should have this time of year. It’ll be a nice segue into the snowy season ahead…unless of course you live in an area like Southern California where all you’ll probably need for the next six months are the light-weight products listed above. lucky bastards.
