New Journey: MontBlanc

Last Month I had the immense honor of attending the most beautiful convention I have ever seen with MontBlanc, SIHH. Sitting in the middle of Geneva Switzerland, the convention was lightly sprinkled with snow and seemed normal on the outside but that was until you stepped in. The space was vast and beautiful, occupied by all the top watch brands under the Richemont umbrella. I had attended a couple MontBlanc events beforehand in NYC but none were quite like this. Their booth was splashed with a historic time-line of the brand, suspended decorative hardware in the shape of a time-piece skeleton and glass boxes displaying their newest season collection. Keep in mind these watches range anywhere from $10k to $300k, so it’s at the forefront of Luxury. It was pure bliss seeing these pieces and hearing the watch makers describe every bit and bob that went into the creation process, you can tell that the whole brand is really passionate.

The next day Rebecca and I ventured out of the country (an hour away) to see the mountain that starting it all, Mont Blanc. Nestled in the small french town called Charmonix, the mountain is a home for daring skiers and winter warriors alike. We couldn’t believe how stunning it was, we felt like we were in a screen saver. Charmonix also held the title for having the highest cable car in the world for two decades that we ended up finding ourselves on half way through the day. After almost loosing my mind at how scary it was rising above the clouds I started snapping pictures like crazy. No wonder such a classy and elegant brand such as Mont Blanc would want to take after the mountain, it was breathtaking! It’ll be an experience I’ll never forget, wearing MontBlanc on Mont Blanc.
