TGIF friends!! Today we’ve got an inside look at my stay with Montage Deer Valley last month. As many of you know, this wasn’t my first time to the beautiful property but it was my first time in WINTER. Rachel Marie and myself felt like we were in a screen saver, that’s how visually stunning it was. The trees were sprinkled with fresh snow, the resort and surrounding properties looked like those small village sets that your grandmother bought in the 80s. It was nothing short of a dream.
During winter the resort offers a variety of unique as well as classic amenities that the whole family can participate in. From 4′ o clock S’mores to snow-tubing, hiking, snow-shoeing and the obvious choice, skiing! Montage Deer Valley is renown for it’s slopes and courses, and is primarily for experienced skiers (not me) So I stuck with the lighter activities. One of Rachel and I’s favorite things to do while we were there was to night swim before bed. They have an indoor pool next to their Spa but they also have an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi(s) which are heated *wink wink* So when the kids are put to bed, we know where you’re headed!
When it comes to food we also felt pretty spoiled. The cuisine offered at Montage deer Valley is a cut above the rest. Crowd favorite Burgers and Bourbon offers a variety of delicious comfort food cooked to perfection. You would’ve found us there in the afternoon sipping a glass (or 4) of their original mountain ale. For breakfast and dinner we frequented Apex which consisted of a cozy dining atmosphere and 5 star food to ensure an encore visit.
I don’t want to spoil too much, I’ve got a whole other post coming your way in the next few weeks. For now I hope you can settle for these gorgeous landscapes I captured while exploring. Also be sure to check out Rachel’s posts too. I may have recommended this place after my first visit, but now that I’ve had a second go I’m FORCING you to experience it.
