When I airborne to Ibiza all I could think of was the widely popular song ‘on the floor’ by Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull. “Brazil, Morocco, London to Ibiza…” so you could imagine how I felt. If the world was a four year old’s birthday party then Ibiza would be the small blowup house in the back. where everyone goes in and acts crazy with friends and then leaves without mentioning it again. Or we could call it Vegas on the water, right? or the euro vegas without slots? Either way I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into until I got there, stayed in the old town and was surprised. From the culture to the architecture and people, it was all so warm and comforting. It may have a preceding reputation but it has way more to offer then just clubs. We even visited a neighboring island Formentera and had a couple hours to swim in the crystal blue waters. I’ll go into more of that later but for now I wanted to share one of the most surreal and perfect sunsets Olivia and I witnessed when we had dinner on the ocean in Cala Compte.
The colors started as golden then slowly faded into a striking magenta as the sea swallowed the sun. Luckily I wore a very easy goin outfit consisting of a linen top by michael kors and light-weight chinos from Theory. All of which can be found at Lord and Taylor. I needed to photograph the outfit at some point but didn’t know I was going to be given this much of an opportunity. The colors, scene and weather were absolutely perfect.
