It’s been a couple weeks since we were in the Hamptons and as each day goes by, is another day I wish I was back again. Nick, Chris & Myself hit the beach in Montauk to photograph this look for our on-going Nautica partnership. The days are quite hot but the nights are very cool and social, hence why I decided to wrap a sweater around my neck. It is a lot preppier then my traditional style but if the Hamptons have a nick-name it would be ‘prep central’ so I thought it was only fitting. A lot of people think the Hamptons are similar to the west coast but I would say they’re actually very different. The water is much colder in the Atlantic year around and the beaches are more white & clean here. Where as the west has dry, reliable heat that’s where the Hamptons lack. With reoccurring gloom and clouds, you never know what you’re going to get BUT it is beautiful in it’s own way.
If you ever head out to NYC for a bit of time then I would strongly suggest visiting the Hamptons. It’s about a 2-3 hour ride on the Long Island railroad or via rental car. The best seasons to visit are Spring and summer! I’ve never been in Autumn but I bet it would be really beautiful as well. South Hampton & East Hampton is more family geared where as Montauk is more of a party town with ages that range 21-35.
