Do you guys ever find yourself watching vintage videos or looking at old photographs from the 50s, 60s and 70s or am I the only one? As of lately I have been completely in love with the whole nostalgic aesthetic of the past and wanted to try to capture more of images like that. One thing in particular that I currently love are polaroids; so I thought what better than to try and recreate a fun 70’s skate session via polaroids? I’ve briefly spoken on this before but my dad skated professionally in the 70’s & 80s before the X games came to be so I dedicate this one to him! He always tried to teach me how to skate but it wasn’t until I was 18 when I actually learned!
When it came to the outfit I styled it very alternative-casual, so hints of the 90’s were present I’ll admit. I didn’t want to sport dolphin shorts with knee high socks like they did in the disco era- just not my thing. Every time I skate I need a good sneaker and since I’ve teamed up with Superga for the season I thought I would showcase my favorite white pair. The very pair I took to Greece is now the pair I’m skating around with in NYC. That’s the great part about Superga’s versatility – they’re great for holiday but I can also wear them when I’m home too. Check out some of Superga’s latest colors here.
