One question I get asked frequently is how I stay fit when I travel so much…well this post is dedicated for you folks! On top of already having an extremely high metabolism courtesy of my fathers side of the family, I also owe a lot to Equinox gyms. From New york to LA and even London, whenever I’m abroad they’ve got me covered. It is a bit on the pricey side but the cardinal rule of “you get what you pay for” definitely comes to play on this one.
When I’m home in NYC I favor one Equinox property in general because of obvious reasons, the views. The printing house location is nestled in the beautiful Greenwich village and boasts floor to ceiling windows in their yoga studio. Aside from yoga they also offer a Whipped! class, Barre Burn and studio cycling. I’m mostly a free weights guy but every now and then it’s great to unwind, de-stress and attend one of these classes. It’s also just a nice communal vibe and a chance to meet other health-driven locals.
I think it’s really important to live an active lifestyle and stay fit these days, especially if you’re a traveler like myself. Spending most of my time sitting on planes is no fun and not good for circulation so I’m constantly reminding myself to get up & get out. But maybe that should be the moral of the story even if you’re not a globetrotter…maybe less phone and more physical activity. Old school, people.
Thinking about signing up for Equinox? make sure to say I referred you!
